Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Tonight was our daughter's last softball game. On one hand I'm sad to see the season end because they were just beginning to play as a team and see the results of their coaching. But on the other, whew, lots less driving and hours away from home. Joe and I are both doing a play coming up, he on stage and me on lights, so between rehearsals and ball practice we haven't had a lot of together time. We're always running somewhere. But I'm proud of my girl, this was her first year to ever play ball and I think she did pretty well. In fact, the kids went out with a WIN! So proud.

  1. Exactly how we feel at the end of wrestling season...and two to three months after it's over, we can't wait for the insanity to begin again. It's so much fun to see our children participate and do well in group activities. To watch them grow as individuals and learn to cope with different personalties and situations. To learn to help one another while depending on more than just themselves. Team sports, whether or not it's performed by a single competitor or as a group, teaches them in a very subtle way that there's more to life than winning or losing.
